Updates!

Hey everyone!!

The American Diabetes Association walk was a success!! Thank you to everyone who came out to support me and Team Red!!!

Currently, I am drowning with work to do for the end of this semester, I have to schedule my classes, and study for my LSAT coming up in December, don't worry though, I am still doing community service, and trying to make a difference in this community! I was even elected the Community Service Chair in my sorority! =]

I am POSITIVE I will be able to get through this abundance of work! =]

I also have an announcement to make which I will probably make early January!! =] Keep looking to see the announcement!

Well, I have to get studying now, but I will be posting soon!

Johnson City Diabetes Walk 2011!!!

Hello everyone!!

As some of you may know, I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes this summer, and I have been working very hard to change my lifestyle so I am not diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes.  I have the privilege to be a Team Red Captain for the Johnson City Diabetes Step Out walk.

Any amount of donations that can be made are always extremely helpful! I would also love for more people to join my team!! =]

And the semester starts!!

Hello!!

Just got settled into my new room, and its getting to be more like a room, and not just some space I was thrown into! lol.  I am extremely happy, and am ready for classes to start!!

Just a heads up! I am taking my LSAT's in December!!!! I am sooo nervous, but I am sure it will turn out well!

Alsooo! I just submitted my letter of intent to run for the Endicott Hall President!! I am super excited because I have so many amazing ideas and plans for this building! Everyone here is so great, and I am soo excited for this upcoming election!

I will keep updating here with the status of the election, and I wish everyone an amazing night!

As the summer comes to an end...

As the summer comes to an end, and I start packing to go back to school, I wanted to say a few things!

1) I wanted to Congratulate the new Miss Long Island and Miss Long Island Teen 2012, you girls are beautiful and will do amazing this year! 

2) I look forward to updating my blog more, and let you guys know about the progress I have made in school achievements, and personal achievements!

Hey guys!  Although I didn't win my election for VPF, I had an awesome time!!  I also am hard at work because this August, I will be competing for the title of Miss Long Island 2012!!!!

Platform for VP of Finance!

I just wanted to post my platform for easy access for the students on Campus!

Bi-Monthly Forums for Treasurers-

·      Holding Bi-Monthly Forums will allow the Treasurers to discuss what they feel is necessary to make their organizations more efficient.

Bi-Monthly Forums for Non SA members

·      Including the students that are not associated with the SA, will create a relationship that can potentially lead to more members, and diverse opinions regarding topics relate to the campus at large.

Smooth Sailing-

·      Being Proactive in creating a streamline process in order to process requests for loans and approvals, will create a healthy relationship between the SA and their Chartered groups.

Friendliness

·      I will always be available for each organization to go over any rules, or guidelines regarding any process in which I am responsible for;  Including but not limited to, processing requests for loans, procedures for creating events, and discussing liabilities of hosting an event.

About me

·      I firmly believe in student run groups, and would work my hardest to keep them up and running to reach their fullest potential.

o   Student organizations are the fundamental resource for success in the future for students. They allow networking to take place, and potentially lead to jobs in the future.

·      I have experience in the insurance field, and from there I am comfortably able to interact with individuals in a professional business setting.

·      I believe strategic financial planning is one of the most important aspects for a successful organization.  

o   Planning is important because it allows for organization and success in the future and encourages individuals to try new things to achieve their goals. 

·      Through Miss Long Island Teen, I interacted with people from various backgrounds and interests and despite these differences I learned it was possible through compromise to achieve common goals.

Candidate Meeting!

Tonight is our candidate meeting, where we will find out all of the guidelines and information about Sweeps, and the Voting Process

Sweeps will be held Tuesday March 8, 2011, at 8pm in the Lecture Halls!

I am currently designing my campaign posters, and could definitely use a little insight!
